2014 - an economy in crisis in the UK and along with it the value of horses and ponies that are ending up in auctions declines alarmingly.
EMW Sanctuaries welfare representatives are working auctions and drift/round up sales across the UK are reporting venues so full of equine entries that there are insufficient pens for the them to be held and many standing on lorries until their turn to be sold comes up.
We are so proud and happy to announce that EMW-UK have won the best horse rescue award.
We were presented with our wonderful for 2012 at the Wetnose Awards in London On March 9th.
Here are trustees Amy Jones and Elaine Tasker being presented with our award by Jenny Seagrove.
Our most sincere and grateful thanks go to Burgess Feeds and also to Animal Friends Insurance for the
kind donation of grand total £1500 allowing this charity to continue to stand by our motto
of We will NOT look away. You can see more pictures of the day HERE
